January 2026 Update - Including new waltz

New year!

Haven't been composing a lot because life has been busy. Lots of work stress, the holidays, got sick, etc. I'm also not feeling very inspired...I need new music to play and listen to to get the creative juices flowing.

However I'm still confident I can put out a song on here once a month because I wrote quite a bit in 2025 and still have a backlog of songs to put on here. 

NEW SONG - Waltz in C sharp Minor #2 - Crystal

This Waltz completes the set of three waltzes in C sharp minor I wanted to create. Just loving that key right now! 

It's called "Crystal" because the staggered octaves sounded like refracted light to me. 

The middle section and climax of the song switches to 4/4 time, which obviously isn't typical for a waltz, but I think it's cool. 

My sister noted that it sounds like "Song of Storms" from Zelda. There are certainly similarities, although unintentional.

Looking ahead

Been practicing a lot of piano. Been writing instrumental stuff in Logic that will probably never see the light of day because I'm not good yet. 

Plenty of other piano solos in the pipeline.

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY I'M RECORDING THE PARTS FOR ALICE IN WONDERLAND AT WEST JORDAN MIDDLE SCHOOL WHICH WILL TAKE ALL OF MY TIME ENERGIES AND PASSIONS
