About Me

Hey, I’m Kyle! I’ve been playing and writing for the piano for as long as I can remember. When I was five years old, I entered a school composition competition and made it to the state finals. (Honestly, I’m 99% sure my mom wrote the song—but hey, even a false sense of confidence is a sense of confidence!) Since then, the piano has been my creative outlet.

My main goal is to create music that people enjoy listening to and that pianists enjoy playing.

Some of my favorite composers are Chopin, Rachmaninoff, and Debussy, but I also attribute influence to the music of video games, musical theater, jazz, and pop.

I’m inspired by my grandma, Deon Neilsen Price, who was recently called the “Tom Brady of Composing” by The New York Times and is still composing at age 91.

I’m very proud of the compositions on this website, but I’m also aware of the room I have left to grow. So if you don’t like what you hear from me now, just check back in six months—I’m sure it will be better. If not, maybe I’ll have my mom ghostwrite for me again. :)

Thank you!
